Description

This intricate, 7 pointed star was inspired by my years living in the Marshall Islands. The colors were inspired by my love of winter- winter in the city, trips to NYC with all of the holiday lights dancing through the night and winter on different continents under the northern and southern lights. This piece took an exceptionally long time to create due to the many layers of stamps that have to be individually laid down and dried. I love the multitude of stamps that come from such diverse places as India, Japan, Indonesia, Oman, Mexico, Venezuela, New Zealand, Australia, France, Ireland, Turkey, England and many other countries.Mixed media artwork on stretched gallery canvas, 24 x 24 x 1 1/2 inches. Signed and dated.It is not necessary to frame this piece unless you wish to do so. Sides are staple-free and artwork wraps around all sides. Wired and ready to hang. Satin finish with UV protection.
